Choosing a Steinway piano .....

I've tested many M, L, O's, and a few S's. The S's are definitely inferior; in fact many uprights are better. The differences between M,L,O, are slight, but I have yet to play an L I liked. Some O's have beautiful woodwork, but the best soundings ones were the M's. Is the price for a Steinway the same everywhere in the States???

Anyone want to share some experiences and prices for a new M? Thanks in advance!
