奧斯卡金像導演西德尼·波拉克於1985年拍攝的《Out of Africa 》(遠離非洲),囊括了當年斯卡金像獎最佳影片、最佳導演、最佳劇本、最佳攝影、最佳原著、最佳美術指導及最佳音樂等七項大獎。

影片通過一個老人從容敘述和回憶他的過往，就像拂去微塵後露顯的充滿質感的具什，折射出曾經的青春、浪漫、瑰麗、叛逆、熱烈、容忍、欲望和勇敢。

有人說，喜歡一個遠老卻依舊閃光的愛情故事的人，往往是不曾有或正在期許一段轟轟烈烈刻苦銘心的情感。
