1. Rent to buy first. Start with cheap smaller size. You can rent it from the string instrument store in San Jose Japan Town, 4th Street and Jackson.
2. When he is ready for full size, then buy one. The best deal is actually on ebay.com.
3. If he really has violin talent. Send me e-mail. I will tell you where to buy cheap and good antique violin in bay area.
