佳乃下午茶 | Scarborough Fair

《Scarborough Fair》是美國六十年代最受大學生歡迎的電影、1968年奧斯卡獲獎片《畢業生》（達斯汀·霍夫曼主演，其成名作）中的主題曲，歌曲名稱：《Scarborough Fair》（中譯：斯坎伯瑞集市），原唱歌手：Paul Simon （保羅·西蒙）和Art Garfunkel（加芬克爾），作詞：Paul Simon　Art Garfunkel，作曲：Paul Simon　Art Garfunke。片中的另一首歌曲The Sound of Silence《寂靜之聲》也很出名。

聽歌重在聽“歌眼”，正如文章中標識題旨的“文眼”。這一首SCARBOROUGH FAIR歌眼就是PARSLEY ,SAGE ,ROSEMARY AND THYME“蕪荽,鼠尾草,迷迭香和百裏香”，歌者在SAGE與THYME上有意延長似乎是在提醒我們注意：SAGE既指鼠尾草，同時又有“賢明/聖哲”之意；而THYME則與TIME諧音。讓我們再度回頭審視歌名（注意：歌詞與襯詞中都及可能潛藏著歌眼），原本熟悉的歌名似乎也變了麵目：SCAR-BORROW-FAIR。SCAR與FAIR昭示了歌者的本意—戰爭與和平（ANTI-WAR)。

歌曲以一位在戰火中亡故的普通士兵的口吻唱出，他再也不能回到那朝思暮想的家鄉，再也不能與心上人一同享受生活的甘甜了。心中的悲憤化作一聲聲催人淚下的控訴:PARSLEY，SAGE，ROSEMARY&THYME。成千上萬普通士兵如野花一般被戰火摧毀在沙場上，那些戰爭的作俑者最終難逃時間的淘洗。野花自在芳香；然而，唯有時間才能檢驗出誰是真正的賢明聖哲；或許，亙古永恒的時間才是真正的聖哲！TIME IS FAIR。

歌曲作於六十年代末，歌詞改編自一首十七世紀英格蘭民謠,聯係當時的時代背景（越戰），不難領會歌曲的內涵。歌作者保羅.西蒙是六、七十年代青年的代言人。他曾在英國修習英國文學，文學底蘊深厚，因而其歌詞文字意境深邃。在演唱上西蒙和加豐科的配合可謂天衣無縫。在萬籟寂靜的深夜裏，讓歌聲流入你的心田，TOUCH THE DEEP OF YOUR HEART！

之後,更有許多的歌手演繹版,包括莎拉·布萊曼和齊豫的女聲版。

莎拉·布萊曼更是以歌聲高端無敵，充盈著飄逸的空氣感，足以為我們營造出無邊無際的空間幻覺，仿佛天籟。由她演繹的這首歌，把所有的she換成he，變成了一個女子對愛情的低吟泣訴，裏麵有迷惘和了無根基的心緒，淒婉而哀豔，更象一個女鬼在依戀活著的戀人。歌聲裏已沒有了戰爭，隻有一個男人，和關於這個男人的愛情，心情寂寞而脆弱。
