法國保羅·莫裏亞樂團是世界著名三大輕音樂團之一，它的弦樂新鮮浪漫，節奏明晰活潑，具有十分鮮明、獨特的魅力。它的領導人保羅·莫裏亞1925年出生於法國名城馬賽，19歲的保羅開始了通俗樂隊的指揮生涯，後由於為唱片公司改編各種樂曲而名聲日噪。1965年他組織起了自己的樂團。1968年，該團灌製的唱片《藍色的愛情(Love Is Blue又譯：愛是憂鬱)》在美國的流行音樂榜上連續八周排在第一名，擊敗了甲殼蟲等勁旅，成為該年度的金唱片。此後30年中，樂團的唱片銷量超過了3000萬張，演奏的樂曲被錄製超過1000次，進行了30多次世界巡回演出，享有極高的聲譽，成為世界各地音樂迷們所敬仰的明星。保羅·莫裏亞的風格被人們以“清新明朗優美迷人”8個字來概括，他編的樂曲往往配器簡單，節奏明快，效果出色，很適宜於現代人的欣賞需要。
