The dumb girl couldn't sing,but she did posess great talents of dancing. That movie is mainly about how a girl, who was badly treated by her step-mother and who had big interest as well as gifts in dancing, followed her dream faithrully and consistently to become a dancer. In the end the dumb girl not only became a great dancer, but also gained true love from a handsome and nice man. The songs in that film are very beautiful and touchy, and I think the film is more like an artistic work, not a general one.
Anyway, that's a good old film. You may find it somewhere and try, and I believe you will enjoy it greatly as much as I do.
