Butterfly Kisses

Butterfly Kisses是指用眼睫毛 (eyelashes) 象翅膀一樣地在另一個人的麵頰或是睫毛上拍打，常是大人親熱孩子的舉動。中文裏沒有相應的詞，暫且翻譯成“蝴蝶之吻”好象也說得過去。台灣的滾石唱片1998年底出過一個英文CD叫“SMASH強打旋風”，用Butterfly Kisses作壓軸歌曲，他們把Butterfly Kisses翻譯成《蝶舞》，好象有點太寫意了？！

　　美國抒情鄉村歌手Bob Carlisle在他女兒Brooke十六歲生日的前夕，看著女兒長大成人了，不久就要遠走高飛了，感慨萬千而寫下了這首歌。Bob以沉穩柔情的嗓音，伴以吉它委婉的合旋，深邃真情的唱出了偉大的父愛。歌中唱到一個父親對女兒從小到大的很多美好回憶，最動人最難忘的就是那每日睡前禱告後的"Butterfly Kisses"。同時他想到女兒今後結婚時的情景，當想到她婚禮後就要改為夫性，婚禮前當他注視女兒時，女兒問爸爸在想什麽，“我不知道，我隻是覺得我將失去我的乖乖女”…….我們女兒最後給了爸爸一個“Butterfly Kisses” …….“Daddy，別哭”…….

　　這首歌把一個父親對女兒的愛寫得感人致極。舊金山的San Francisco Chronicle報的報導說，邊開車邊聽此歌的聽眾把車子停到路邊，泣不成聲…….不瞞你說，我也曾經聽這首歌聽得我滿眼淚花。現在這首歌已經成為美國婚禮上必放的歌曲。

　　這首歌灌成唱片後，在排行榜上扶搖直上，成為流行歌曲在流行音樂（pop）台、鄉村音樂（country ）台、輕音樂（easy-listening）台等Top 40電台上麵高居“熱門”榜首。唱片成為1997年夏季銷售的第一名，賣了兩百多萬張。1998年獲得了第四十屆格萊美（Grammy Awards）最佳鄉村歌曲獎。Bob被稱為抒情天王是美國專輯榜、成人抒情榜、福音歌曲榜排行三冠王。
