You did miss a lot of good places.  However, this is also one of the good thing of Acadia National Park. Depends on your schedule, 1 day, 2 days, 5 days, 1 week even 1 month, 2 months, there always are places that you can enjoy your stay.

The population of residents on the island is 40,000 + in the summer and 4,000+ in the winter.  A lot of rich lawyers/doctors/financial people put their family on the island in the summer for a few months of vacation while they worked in Boston/New York City/Philadelphia in the weekdays and fly/drive the island in the weekends.

What a marvelous 4 years of my stay on the island!
