It's very distressful situation when u have a problem with ur professor at school in the states, u end up finding u can do nothing to lead to an official punishment when he performed some misconducts towards the students.
I have had some even worse experience dealing with my own advisor regarding my graduation issue, it was terrible, I even talked to the dean of the graduate school, finally it tends out to be a war with no winner produced, at least not me.
I understand how u feel and I support whatever u would do to protect ur own rights, even it's hard. Good luck!
