請教老貓。綠卡申請中是否可回國？

我和老公正在申請綠卡，提交了I-140,還沒有批。老公是主申請人，我是DEPENDENT.請問在140批準之前，我們是否可以回國。如果我們回國，綠卡申請是否就被視為自動放棄？尤其是作為dependent的（我老公可暫時不回國）？謝謝！
