I was charged $50 for landlord repeat checking some in my apt

I did not do anything until I moved out. They charged me %50 from my deposit (less 50).

I wrote a very formal letter to them ( similar to a lawyers' letter) sent by registration mail, and the letter I will have a law suit and finally They sent me the $50 after the letter
