車禍被訴，請教單身老貓!

倆年前,在加拿大,我太太出車禍,是她的錯,當時報了警和保險公司,警察給了張C$120的告票, 沒扣點.救護車也來了,但倆個司機都沒事,就走了.
今天,有個人送一封律師信上門,說另一個司機到ONTARIO SUPERIOR COURT OF JUSTICE告我們.要我們賠償損失$900000.(什麽樣的損失可以CLAIM這個數目呀!車禍一年後,在COURT打掉告票的時候,這個司機還來了,看著很正常.)

1. ONTARIO SUPERIOR COURT OF JUSTICE 來信直接寄給我, 上麵說20天內必需"perpare a statement of defence in Form 18A ... serve it on the plaintiff's lawyer and file it with proof of service, in this court office." 已經聯係保險公司, 把信送給保險公司的律師了.如果20天內保險公司的律師沒聯係我們,該怎麽辦?
2. 賠償應該由保險公司付,對嗎? 我們的liability limit is $1,000,000.如果出了差錯,變成我們賠,我們需要現在轉移財產嗎?(沒什麽財產,就是房子, 一點RESP,存款.)
3, 我知道這是一件嚴肅的事情,除了打電話給保險公司,還能做什麽? 出事至今,兩年,關於這次車禍,沒從保險公司得到一封信說這是我太太的錯,大家也說別主動聯係保險公司. 現在我們該怎麽辦????
