they haven't got any problem yet, because there are some benefits you can get if you still keep Chinese ID Card.
So far , I haven't heard any person get problem, but maybe late. You will not get any problem as long as you
don't show two passports in airport at same time when
you can back to US, but I really don't know in furture
in China.
