Don't worry about the cost for now. You need to find out what will happen with your green card application if you got divorced. I don't think you should file for divorce before finding the definite/accurate answer.

How likely do you think your hu*****and will quit his job and go back to China before getting green card? Does he have connections there? If not, I think he is just bluffing about quitting job without getting green card first. If he quits after getting green card, you get green card as well. After getting the green card, file for divorce right away in US.

You need to sharp your knowledge and get well prepared for finding a job.
