Ask you company for a unpaid leave, if possible.

If you are still in good terms with your boss--you did not threaten to kick his/her axx..:). Maybe you can ask your company to hold a small amout of your pay. You take a sicck leave ( let's say, you feel tired all the time. and need to rest... whatever). The imigration law allows that without affecting your imigration status. Then you start looking for jobs to get ready for your next move.
