即使不算是借款,您的先生仍然可以要求您償還這個"禮物",過去馬州有案例在離婚時,其中一方需要歸還另一方在婚前所贈予的禮物,所以老實說您先生的要求並不過份,特別是$14000不是小數目,如果進入庭訊,老貓相信大部份的法官應該不會輕易讓這筆贈予可以忽略不提,因此個人的建議是您既然已經因為他的資助獲得您的學位,或許您應該考慮返還部份或是全部他所投入的投資,不是嗎? 雙方好好坐下來協商一下您們應該如何處理這個爭議,好嗎?
