Many thanks to all of you to offer your opinions. H1B_TAX, you are really good to beat the cop! Thank you for your input and experience.

I may not as lucky as you. Because I feel this cop is not an honest man. When I argured with him while he handed me the ticket, we had following conversation:
.....
police: if you are nicer to me, I would not give you the ticket.
me: I did make stop. it is unfair to give me the ticket. May be the stop is a short pause, because nobody on that road, but I made stop.
police: OK, you said you did not stop, you ran ...
me: I did not say that.
police: you lie. You did not stop.

I was suprised and so angry that this cop said that I admit I did not stop. 他竟然睜眼說瞎話. (please excuse me not typing in Chinese for most of my message. It is too slow)

Do you think he will tell judge or wrote down on his copy of the ticket that I said I did not stop? How do I deal with this dishonest cop?
If I lose on the court, what is the worst can happen?
Pay the same fine and points plus court fee?

After this happened, I felt so angry that I went to local police office to try to make a complain. Maybe I am too foolish and naive. It does not help if not making things worse. The officer I met told me two things: 1. go to court(I knew that). 2. She will call that police officer to tell him I came and complained.
