from professional school.
There is a common sense and universally know to cops that when you stop COMPLETELY, you car MUST have a jerk, and this is most reliable thing cops can see.
The judge knew you may not stop completely, but the cop did not give out the strongest evidence he might have see, so you were off the hook.
But you are really good.
