If you like, you may find a lawyer to sue the damn Landlord. He is so mean!!!! If you win, lawyer would get the money from the fine of landlord. Do you remember a landlord post before. He lost 25k due to not returning the deposit to his tenants. I believe there are a lot of lawyers seeking this kind of easy money.
$400 clear up fee for the oven and hardwood floor is not reasonable. A brand new range cost $350!! The judge will understand. How hard to clean hardwood floor!!! Nonsense!!
Sink or bath tub leaking is landlord responsibility. That is his property, he should understand that.
Judge usually give the tenants favor. Why? Because only landlord can pay the lawyer fees!! If tenants lost, who will pay the lawyer?
Don't pick the lawyer who charge you fees no matter the case win or not. If you can't find such honest/Jerk lawyer, just file a small claim. Teach such greedy landlord a lesson.
