Did you actually ask him why he was a former police officer?

If you dont pay the outstanding tickets, you can not buy gun, you can not renew your sticker, you can not renew your license, you can not register class in state fund college or university, combine with other violation, you can be sentenced in jail for few days, ..................

Most important is most people here will not answer your question with a straight answer.
