回複：可以起訴醫生/護士嗎？

In US, anybody can sue anybody for anything. The key should be if you have a case here. To be a solid malpractice case,the following criteira have to be met:

1: the doctor/Nurse practitioner made a mistake
2: you had damage
3: the mistake caused the damage.

In you case, it soulds like a complication of the procedure, which they should have talked with your before the procedure. I assume that it happened when they were cutting the strings which are connected to the IUD.

However, you still have other options without going to the court to make this right and get compensated.

If it is an academic institution, you chould complain to the chairman of the department first. It will be taken care of in many cases. If in privated practice, you still should write a formal complain as well (email is OK), to see what is their response.

My wife had a bad experience in a dental procedure. We wrote to the chair and she was seen by the chair. they referred her to a specilaist and all the expenses were taken care of.

I am not a OB/GYN doctor, just trying to help. Correct me if I am wrong.
