When the judge asks you how to plea, just say two words "not guilty". Then, you will be offered a chance to strike a deal with the prosecutor, who generally will agree to give your a lesser charge (which means lesser fine). After the deal is reached, you will need to sign a piece of paper (agreeing to the lesser charge). The judge will then call your name again, asking if you plea guilty to the lesser charge. At that point, you say "guilty".
