I heard file tax jointly , but never filing divorce jointly. haha.

You will be petitioner, she will be respondent. She must respond to your petition or she lose. you will be in big fight only when she responds and don't agree the term.

my advice: go get a "divorce for dummy" type of book, www.nolo.com or your local library or local book store should have good divorce book selection. do some homework first, not just rely on the BIG OLD CAT or lawyer.
