Before I can react, my front bumper hit her ......." Pedistrian has the right of way everywhere. By claiming you have no time to react is better than telling people you are careless driver.
When police said you are ok, that basically telling you that there will be no criminal action against you, suck as reckless driving, DUI etc....
Attorney did was a civil action. It is all about $$$$$. You dont want to look clueless.
