Get a second opinion first, (see another dentist, in your case, it's more like an oral surgeon) and see if it is the right thing to do. if the answer is no, contact a lawyer(s) who is specialized on medical malpractice (not with medical degree!!). He may then get some expert opinion on this or he can sense that you can win. He usually will take the case if he smells money (good chance to win so he can take a cut).
There is a limitation as well. depends on which state you are, it may be 2 years from when you discovered the problem. it is a tedious procedure. Be prepared.
