1. If police does not look for you, you need go look for police. Actually it might be State Trooper or Highway Patrol.

2. Contact their insurance company and prepare for all the usual procedures.

3. If you think you suffered damage, find an attorney to represent your interests. Stay out of emotional damage. That is an excuse when you dont have anything else to claim. Go after more tangible facts, lost wager, car damage, rental cars, medical treatments, continue treatment etc ..............

4. It is usual that physical symptoms will show up 1-2 weeks after the accident. So dont sign anything.

5. Find an attorney to help.
