check again, his body liability is more than 10K, if you are in California, body liability is at least 30K for your injuries.

And for the property damages, the limit is 10K and you can sue him for additional, up to 7.5K in California in small-claim court by yourself w/o lawyer. If the damage is beyond 10K + 7.5K, then you’d better a hire a lawyer sue for property damage and any additional pain and suffering you’ve endured, plus loss of work, etc. etc. etc.
