In the case the shop owner has a long history of unsafe working and shopping consitions for workers and shoppers, an experienced lawyer would look into punitive damage. In that case, the case can be valuable and you would not have difficult to find a willingful lawyer.

Stp is right in that you need to make the owner aware of the problem so as to determine repeated negligance of posting danger.
