If you are poor, Canada is better place.
If you are rich, Canadian passport can eazily go to tax free country and avoiding paying huge income tax.
If you are in the middle class, you can work anywhere in both US and Canada as long as you can find a job.
If in someday you are forced to go to Iraq or some other war, you can run away to Canada.
