It is your marriage. Hitting you was absolutely wrong, but every DV is not the same. Des he hit your for now reason? Or normally after you verbally abuse him for a while. I am not saying that would make it right, but there is difference. If he comes home from work, starts drinking, you come near him and he beats you--like in those movies.. You want stay away from right now, forever. But you were in love. there must be something about him you love(d). It is easy to break your marriage and make your son lose his fater, in a way, as he just started learning about this world. Or, maybe you can still have a happy family once the two of you come togetgher...I mean the two of you have to work together. Follow your own heart, sister.
