Do we need get Naturalization Certificate ID for our son

Please help :

Last year, we (myself , my wife and my son who was 10 years old)filed the applcation at same time for US naturalization.
And my wife and myself’s applcation were granted and had received our certificate of naturalization already last month . however we just receive the notice yesterday that our son’s application is rejected due to neither of parent are US citizens .
So our question is :As now we become US citizen, do we need appeal for our son’s application again ? Do we need get Naturalization certificate ID for our son who is 10 years old (note :of course he’s been living with us whole his life.) or just use our cetification to apply for US passport for him ?
