There has to be other reasons, the justification cited is just too insignificant. Most companies treats there employees as valuable resources and would try to retain them. If you are let go because you said 'you suck', you should examine all your conduct since you joined this company.

Of course I could be wrong. I just find it hard to believe a company would go through all the trouble training an employee and then fire him/her because one small incident.
