Have you checked in with the airline(chinese airline) already? otherwise, you could not get luggage checked in. but, if you already checked in with the airline in the airport, how could you not get the boarding pass? did you transfer in Vancouver? who did you talk to? if you have a boarding pass, how could you believe them that there was no flight to china? can you tell a little more detail: where do you check in? who did you talk to? if you remember all the place and name, you should contact airline directly.
