As long as you don't go to an OB doctor, you are not considered pregnant to the insurance company. The short term disability won't bring you much benefit though. If not C-section, you will be considered able to work.
According to Family and Medical Leave Act, a company that has more than 50 employees plus the employee has worked for more than 1 year is bound to the Act. Your case does not fit, which means your company does not has the obligation to hold your position for you.
My advice is that keep working as usual and build a good reputation. The company might give you some paid leave if they want you come back working for them after the delivery.
I had exact the same experience. I got pregnant after several months I joined a company. I worked till the day before delivery. The company did not have anybody giving birth before me and they were so kind that they sent me a regular pay check. I returned the pay check and told them I would need to stay home for 2 years because that was the best for our children. 2 years later the company still wanted me back and granted my request of working part time.
Take care!
