I got a ticket for violation of meter parking near my office. It is two-hour limit meter parking. I parked my car less than two hours, then drove to somewhere else, returned back and parked my car in the same street but different meter for another 1 hour. At first , I thought I could always park in same place as long as I put enough coins and moved my car once . It turned out that I was wrong. Could anybody be kindly help me with the following questions?
1. Do I need to go to the court to fight for the ticket even if I was wrong?
2.Is that possible that they can waive some of the penalty even if I was wrong?
3.In case I lose, Do I need to pay for the court fees plus the penalty?
I am Maryland.
THanks for your suggestion.
