Thanks 2C!
Apparently you know the laws pretty well and what you wrote is right on the point. I have a different question on CIMT. I took my visiting parents fishing a while back. I ended up with a ticket "fishing against my wife's daily limit" and the subsequent "fishing over limit". These are bail forfeitable offenses. If I pay the fine, I don't need a court appearance, and my record will be "BO" rather than "C" as in "convicted". However, almost all fishing/wildlife offenses in our state are misdemeanors instead of mere infractions. I can still truthfully answer that I have never been convicted EXCEPT for INS, since INS has a much broader definition of "convicted". As far as INS is concerned, I do have a misdemeanor record.
My question is, how do I make sure these are not moral turpitude offenses?
Very Informative!
