Dog tore up a plumer's pan, am I face some kind lawsuit?

Ketchen was flooded and dog ran out of my house. A plumer came to my house and my dog tore up his pan. His leg is ok just the pan. Our dog usually just barks to things he does not like and never bites anyone but this guy kept walking and ignoring the dog. I guess my dog must be very unhappy with his ignoring and attacked him. The plumer complained the dog to us serveral times. I said sorry a lot of times and explained the flooding situation. Right now I want to know if I am facing some kind lawsuit, if I am, what should I do?
