auto or manual?

Did you follow instruction on the owner's manual?
New car is not an excuse at all.

If it is a design flaw, you should contact car maker.
For example in the famous audi acceleration case when few owners claim sudden acceleration when stepping on brake, the car maker cough out a lot of money. A lot of people, me included, suspect those owners really stepped on the gas instead.
