You did not know the true situation. Maybe LZ did not think the other company was giving an offer. Everybody knows the best bargain you can get is to tell there is another [potential] offer.
All the employment agreements mention that either party has the right to terminate the contract without a cause.
I knew people who started working at a new job for less than a week and quit, because of a better offer. They are not Chinese. Their behaviors are fundamentally the same as you quit your current job for other company. You think this is "守承諾"? Do you think this behavior is better than what LZ is going to do?
"守不守承諾"? "別人瞧不起咱們中國人"?
