The medical exam for I-485 is to check two things: HIV virus and TB, both are the infectious diseases. Although very few people from China have these problems so far, there are people rejected because of their infectious diseases. Unless a special waiver is filed, the indication of those medical problems will lead to the rejection of application for adjustment.
