Is it worth the trouble to go to the small claims court for a service bill of $120 from my home alarm company? I paid for the bill already and complained to the Better Business Bureau but they only asked us to post our own arguments and then posted the complaint on the website and didn't do anything. I just feel being cheated and so unfair. They told us the first year the service calls are free. It was the first time for me to call them and they didn't solve the problem and I had to pay an electrician to fix the outlet(for the alarm transformer only--also they promised to give us a new system but they didn't change this transformer and I didn't know until they came to check the power. We didn't know what it was for and thought it was something really important since the writing on it said:Don't remove.). Then they still charged me for the service. I heard the fee is $35(I'm in California). So is it worth it? I'd like to go and seek justice from the judge but just not sure whether it's worth the time and effort. Please share your input. Thanks.
