Jurisdictions are split on this matter. Some states allow parents' vicarious liability for intentional torts of their children. Some will grant immunity to parent-children relationship. Most states abrogated parent-children immunity for negligence and allow it only for intentional tort. Others complete abolished this immunity, especially for property damage.

You need to check your state statute for vicarious liability of parent to children.
