Help on "leave without pay"?

Hi,
I post note for vacation issue one week ago, and get very
helpful info. from 999111 and others,thank you all here very much.

Just this issue seems not be able to get solved before my leave for China.
So I have to use "leave without pay" for my trip to China. Anyone know
my other benefits such as medicare or some other insurance... would be or not be affected in situation of "leave without pay"?

In addition, medicare would cover my trip in China?
