Get your own attorney's help instead of asking around. Write down everything that happened that night, collect all your evidences in writing and present them to the attorney. Also monitor your attorny's progress, don't just trust him totally. If necessary, explain to the prosecutor in person.

It's not uncommon that cops create a problem out of nothing and nowhere for innocent people, and the prosecutor pointlessly presses the charge just for another successful prosecution record in their history, and the criminal attorney does not fully understand the immigration consequence of even a petty record for non-citizens and handles the case inappropriately.
