You can still buy even you AGI is above the limit (I forgot since mine is way over it) but no tax benefit. But starting 2009, you can convert your traditional IRA into Roth IRA -- grow without tax and you can pass it to kids, etc. So we were able to put a bunch into traditional IRA this year.
