If the battery charged can be sentenced for one year or more in prison, then you will be deported soon. Make sure you consult your attorney ASAP. Court supervision or probation does nothing. As long as the crime can be sentenced for one year or more, it automatically triggers USCIS and FBI, since you are F-1 visa holder.
And, if you are still under supervision, I do not think you can leave the country. You have to apply for a travel permit from the judge or your supervisor.
Even if you manage to go home, your F-1 visa application will be denied since you are inadmissiable.
Suppose you get lucky or you still have valid entry on your visa, the US Customs & Border Protection will deny your entry since your finger prints are already in the system as a convicted person. They may even arrest you for leaving the country while serving your sentenced terms.
I would suggest you finish your supervision and apply for a waiver from USCIS. This is serious business. Good Luck.
