求教！！！北卡州（North Carolina）的車輛保險問題

向各位請教：
是這樣，我們住在北卡州（North Carolina）. 我的先生早就有車保險，我是去年才考的駕照。當時想為了有一個ID，而且買手機什麽的很多地方都得用駕照。可是我每天上學都不用開車，因為我們北卡三角地區公共汽車很多，我每天都坐車去。

我先生的保險公司知道了我的名字和生日，說我們家隻有一輛車，而且我們倆住在一起，必須增加保險費，因為我屬於新手，這樣，保險費每年增加了一千五百多美元。我想想實在是冤枉，我根本就不開車的。可是保險公司說，這是北卡法律這麽規定的！不管我開不開車，住在一起，有駕照的家人必須得保險。而且好幾家保險公司都那麽說。

想問大家的是：
1。 保險公司有了我的名字和生日，是不是就能從發駕照的政府部門（DMV）那裏得到
我的駕照信息？我的駕照號碼什麽的應該是我的私人信息吧？

2。不知道有沒有相同經驗的家庭，這樣的情況怎麽處理比較好呢？
