單身老貓: sorry i have to re-post this. i am not sure you saw my original post or not. the purchase happened in 2004, while i was still a student. the restaurant was in DC, I live in VA and the law firm/court in NY. Thanks a lot. we are not sure whether it is indentity theft or just same name.

這個周末接到一封從NEWYORK CITY 寄來的SUMMONS。 一個海鮮供應商委托律師將我告上了Civil Court, 說我作為一個外買店的CO-OWNER欠了他們的錢。我不是這個店的老板，連聽都沒聽說過這個店。我查了YELLOWPAGE, ReferenceUSA, 和Washington D.C.small business registration database, 發現那個外買店的老板和我同名。 今天我專門去看了一下（over 30 Miles away)， 不出所料， 那家店已經關門大吉了。 我不知道這隻是個簡單的因為同名的誤會，還是有人盜用了我的ID去開的店。我住在Virginia，去一趟NewYork挺麻煩。我從來沒和人打過官司，根本不知道這些程序。謝謝各位進來讀這個貼子。如果您能幫我出點主意，我真的很感激了。
