Restraining order itself will not send you to jail. Whether you have a jail time of charges depends on what you did to your wilf, and how DA see it. If you did not hit your wife, then it could be OK with the help of a lawyer.

Violating the restraining order is against the court. You wil go to jail or have serious consequences.

You can talk to your wife probably through your attorney to see if she wants you to go home. If so, your wife shoud ask the court to lift it with the approval of a Judge.
