基本上如果您英文程度夠好，加上不怕麻煩與耗時準備所有的文件，您可以自己申請。然而專利局的審查案件多如牛毛，所以如果有任何不妥之處就有可能被退件，所以交給專業的律師可以簡少出錯的機會，同時如果麵臨被退件時，在辦理補齊文件或是提出上訴上都比較容易。
